The cost for your entire troop is only $99 per year.   Payment can be made via PayPal or Google Checkout, although we also accept checks or money orders. Can we get a custom URL for our troop's site? Yes!   For an additional $15 per year we can set you up with your own URL, like www.Troop119.org, if it is available.  You can check whether a URL is available at any popular domain registrar, such as Network Solutions. Your custom URL will serve as an easily remembered shortcut to your permanent TroopWebHost address, which will look like this: www.TroopWebHost.org/Troop119FortMyers.  This is the address you will see in your browser's URL box after you click on your custom URL. What if we already own our own domain name? For no additional cost we can help you link your existing domain name to your new TroopWebHost site.  Just let us know about it when you place your order and we'll get you set up. Do you offer a free trial period? No.   We configure a separate SQL Server database for every troop that subscribes to TroopWebHost. The overhead involved with that makes it impossible for us to offer free trials. Our Demo Site is running the same software that your troop will use if you subscribe.   Our User Guide provides an accurate description of our capabilities.   Our Newsletters highlight our progress in adding features that improve the software.   Please use these resources to decide if our system will work for you. We do offer this commitment:   If you subscribe to our software and discover that it does not work as shown in the demo or as described in the User Guide, we will give you a 100% refund on your first year's subscription fee. Is my site secure?? Yes!   With the exception of the public web pages, all access to your site is protected by 2048 bit SSL encryption, which is invoked when you log on.  Your troop has its own dedicated database which is not accessible by any other troop.  You must use a strong password at least 8 characters long consisting of uppercase, lower case, numbers and special characters to access the site. Can I create my own custom banner graphics? Yes!   For no additional charge we will install your own JPG file to display in your site's heading.   The graphic should be approximately 640 pixels wide and 90 pixels tall. Do you support the ScoutNet™ interface? Yes!   You can export recharter and rank advancement files from TroopWebHost in the format used by ScoutNet™. Can I get backup copies of my data? Yes!   You can create a complete XML backup of your troop's database whenever you like.  This is in addition to the backups we perform every day of each troop's data. Are there limits on how much data and photos I can load? No!   You have an unlimited amount of storage available for data and photos. How does TroopWebHost compare to TroopMaster™? Many troops around the country use TroopMaster™ to manage their troops' membership and advancement.  It is an excellent, mature product. TroopWebHost offers many of the same capabilities, but because it is web-based it is much easier for every member of your troop to share and maintain the troop's information.  It also gives your troop a public web site. Unlike TroopLedger™, the financial management tools are integrated with the rest of our software.  It is not necessary to maintain your troop roster in two different places. And with TroopWebHost, all software enhancements are available immediately - no need to purchase a new version or install new software.  We try to add new features every month in response to customer requests. Can I transfer data from TroopMaster™ to TroopWebHost? Yes!   You can upload your membership roster, rank advancement, and merit badges from files exported from TroopMaster™.  You can also upload current account balances from TroopLedger™. Not all of your information will transfer, but this does provide a quick way to get started. Can I transfer data from ScoutTrack™ to TroopWebHost? Yes!   You can upload your membership roster from files exported from ScoutTrack™.  Unfortunately, we are unable to transfer rank advancement and merit badge information from ScoutTrack™, due to problems with the content of their export files. Does TroopWebHost work for Cub Scout packs?? While some of our capabilities - event scheduling, money management - might work for a Cub Scout pack, we do not currently have a complete solution for Cub Scouts. Specifically, we do not support Cub Scout rank advancement, nor do we offer an easy way to plan den activities. Can we remove the photo gallery from our public web site? Yes!   Most troops like to display photos of their activities on their public web sites as a way to encourage other boys to join the fun.   But some parents are uncomfortable with this approach, so at your request we will be glad to remove the photo gallery from your public site.   It will still be available to troop members after they log on. Are you going to be around five years from now?
