Tips & Tricks

Fall is a good time for camping, fishing, and cooking over an open fire. Why not do all three? Here’s my favorite recipe for cooking that fresh catch of the day, and any fish will do: Using a square of heavy duty foil, layer a fish fillet with slices of lemon, cherry tomatoes cut in half, garlic or garlic salt and some fresh pepper. Pour 1/3 cup of 7-Up or Sprite in the foil and seal it tightly to prevent leaks. Put the foil pack on the coals for 10 to 15 minutes.

Fishelicious!

Speaking of campfire cooking, here’s an inspiring story about two scout-age brothers who invented a new campfire cooking tool, created a new campfire dessert, and built a thriving business in the process. I sure would like to try a Wolf’em right now!
