Scouts Lead The Way

Every scout will be assigned a user ID and password to access your troop's web site.

Once he logs on, he can view the troop calendar and sign up for upcoming events.

He can also perform special functions that are specific to his identity:
  • View his account balance and transaction history
  • Update his contact information
  • Change his password
  • Check out troop equipment
  • Send e-mail to other troop members
  • Post comments on the troop forum

Sign Up For Campouts

Once a scout has logged on with his user ID and password, the web site knows who he is.

So when he selects Sign Up For Event from the My Stuff menu, he doesn't have to identify himself again.

He can just check off the events he plans to attend, then click the Save button, and he's all done!

Move your mouse over the screen image to the left to see a larger view of the Sign Up For Event page.

Check Out Troop Equipment

Each scout can view the troop equipment and library materials for which he is currently responsible, directly from the My Stuff menu.

He can also check out additional items by clicking the "Check Out" button on the My Troop Equipment page as shown at left.

There is a similar button on the My Library Materials page.

Both buttons allow the current user to check out items to his account.

View Account Balance

Similarly, he may view his current account balance and transaction history just by clicking on My Account from the My Stuff menu.

Some scouts may be assigned roles that give them access to additional functions. For example, your troop scribe and historian can be authorized to upload photos of events and write a summary of what happened.
