Your Information Is Safe
You must have a user ID and password to access most of the information in your web site.
Your password must be at least 8 characters long and contain upper and lower case letters, and either a number or a special character.
Different users have access to different parts of the web site, depending on the roles you've assigned.
With the exception of the public web pages, all access to your site is protected by 2048 bit SSL encryption, which is invoked when you log on.
Your troop will have its own MS SQL database which is not accessible to any other troop.

Backup Your Data
We perform off-site backups of each troop database every day.
But if you want the security of having your own copy of your troop's data, this capability is now available.
The designated site administrator can download a complete XML backup of their troop's data at any time, simply by selecting Database Backup from the Administration menu.

Assign Roles To Each User
Each member is initially assigned one of two roles: Adult or Scout. This gives him access to the My Stuff menu, the troop calendar, e-mail, and
other informational pages.
Troop leaders can be assigned additional roles that allow them to schedule events, maintain membership, record advancement, and manage troop funds.
You assign roles to a user by simply checking the box next to that role (see the screen to the left for an example).

Members Can Change Their Own Password
Select Change My Password from the My Stuff menu to update your own personal password.
This allows each member to create their own confidential password, without any assistance from a troop leader.
|

|
"I Forgot My Password!"
If a member forgets their user ID or password, they can simply click on Forgot User ID or Password? next to the Login box.
The system will immediately send them an e-mail reminding them how to log on.
And you never need to lift a finger!
